About Eyas Rashid and Coding with Chester

Coding with Chester was founded by Eyas Rashid, a senior software engineer with a BS in Computer Science and Software Engineering from the University of Washington, plus UW coursework on teaching computer science to children.

Chester is Eyas's real pet cat and the brand mascot. He often appears on camera during lessons to help students feel relaxed. Chester is not a teacher, an AI tutor, or a piece of software; every class is taught by Eyas.

Students ages 6–18 learn in live online classes, private 1-on-1 or in small groups of 3–6, using a Driver-Navigator approach where the student types and the instructor guides with questions.
